Screensaver keeps resetting to NONE

To be able to set your own screensaver, follow the following instructions:

  1. Go to run and type gpedit.msc
  2. Navigate through User Configuration>Admin Templates>Control Panel>Display
  3. Double click Screensaver
  4. Enabled and apply.

This should fix it.

NOTE: Group Policy Editor is only available in XP Professional
